Kamehameha Foundation
Traditions
We are deeply rooted in Hawaiian tradition and are active with various traditional events alongside with other organizations and societies. The Dynastic Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaiʻi is a main benefactor to our foundation.
Our mission supports the continuity of Hawaiian tradition. The Kamehameha Foundation and its board members contribute donations for hoʻokupu to our historical memorials of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Chants and mele are performed to honor the occasion.
The Royal Order of the Crown of Hawai'i along with other organizations and societies conduct celebrations and protocols at various islands.
Royal Order of the Crown
The Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaiʻi is one of the dynastic orders of the Hawaiian Royal House. The Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaiʻi is a main benefactor and helps to raise funds for the Kamehameha Foundation.
The dynastic order participates in the Kamehameha Day Aliʻi Sunday at Waiola Church in Lāhainā Maui. The hoʻokupu ceremony takes place annually at the royal tomb of the sacred Queen Keopuolani.
Ceremonies are also conducted at the Kamehameha statue in Honolulu with Māmakakaua, the Daughters and Sons of Hawaiian Warriors as well as with the
Civic Order of Kamehameha I.
