We at the Kamehameha Foundation remain deeply saddened for the catastrophic devastation caused by Hurricane Lala.

Amongst many damages, Hurricane Lala has caused floodwaters to move a massive amount of debris across Highway 11 through Nāʻālehu, cutting the town off from both Kona and Hilo.

High waters has ripped through the cemetery, leaving bones and headstones scattered. Dozens of houses, if not more, are reportedly gone, uprooted by winds that topped 80 miles per hour.

The Kamehameha Foundation is committed to provide for and respond to this urgency in every way possible.

 The Kamehameha Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible non-profit organization.
